Jan 2010 - Committed partner found in CCI

SWCHC gets involved as a committed partner of CCI. A proposal is submitted to the Champlain LHIN. First permanent funding is received for the Wellness Centre. The Champlain LHIN provides $100,000 ongoing funding to SWCHC who then funnels the funds to CCI to manage the clinic at Reception House.

The Wellness Clinic moves in to the newly renovated basement of CCI. With this move, the Wellness Clinic now has fully equipped exam room and consistent provider scheduling.

The funding is maintained at 100K and supports 0.9FTE Clinic Coordinator and 0.3FTE NP- Paula Day. Dr. Megan Williams and Dr Doug Manuel come on board to offer services on a fee-for-service/pro-bono basis.
