Mar 2016 - Collaborative care leadership for health assessment of Syrians

Justin Trudeau and the government of Canada promises to bring 25000 Syrian refugees to Canada. Ottawa receives about 1500 refugees between November 2014 and March 2015. Ottawa Newcomer Clinic plays a prominent role as the central coordinating body for all the health assessments for all Syrians. All 6 Ottawa CHCs along with Bruyere Academic family health team joins the efforts to become mini-hubs replicating ONC services to ensure all GARs and PSRs are provided the initial medical screening that they required.
