Are you a health care provider looking for language interpretation services in Ottawa? We can help!
Ottawa Language Access (OLA) is a Social Enterprise that offers language interpretation support to health care organizations and providers whose clients do not speak English or French. Language can be the biggest barrier to accessing health care services. Misinterpretation and miscommunication can also lead to safety and compliance issues in a health care setting. This is why we are committed to providing professional interpretation support to ensure that individuals can communicate with their health care providers in their language of choice.
To receive OLA’s interpretation support, individuals or entities must:
- provide services to immigrants and refugees
- not currently have access to interpretation services and/or have a limited budget for interpretation service and/or be looking for alternate interpretation options
Please note: Health care organizations or providers that offer specialized services in the priority areas of chronic disease management, mental health, and addictions and care of the elderly will be given preference.
Private sponsors needing to communicate with their sponsored families are also eligible to receive OLA services. Please contact us for more information.
